My name is Simon Harrup, I’m a Yorkshireman (just in case you can’t tell from my accent) and I do all sorts of clever marketing stuff!
I’m Co-Founder of We Are Purple Dog – A specialist Social Media marketing agency. I run it with my wife & business partner Joe – yep, just the three of us, not including our dogs Bruno & Vanilla.
We run very clever (stalky) Ad Campaigns that actually make you money. Not just Likes or Followers – actual money in the Bank. We’re Facebook Stalkers! and we absolutely love putting those ‘big’ agencies to shame by delivering measurable results. (Yep, 100% measurable).

MY PAST ►► I started working in Advertising & Marketing agencies back in the late 80’s and learned my trade in the days before Technology and this fancy fandangled Tinterweb thingymabob. This put me in a great place when technology finally hit the industry in the 90’s… I was amongst the first generation of this new age. I was marketing before Social Media and much of what I was taught, learned and practiced was the founding principles of this new age. It’s all the same stuff but technology made it faster, better and more accessible.
BOLD CLAIM ►► My rather bold claim would be that, in Marketing I’m a Jack of all Trades and Master of Several… Based on the evidence that it takes roughly 10,000 hours of practice to achieve mastery in a specific field. In the last 30 years I have most definitely spent close to or more than 10,000 hours in many disciplines associated with marketing. Just call me Mr. Miyagi
